Missing blogger
I kind of miss this site – my first blogging attempt, though I am very pleased with WordPress. Its video posting capabilities appear to be limited (or perhaps it is just me). I like the fleur de lis style; fits in with my wordpress style. =)
Fellow citizens, we cannot escape history
from Abraham Lincoln’s second annual message to congress, December 1, 1962. Another amazing quote
“This country, with its institutions, belongs to the people who inhabit it. Whenever they shall grow weary of the existing government, they can excercise their constitutional right of amending it, or excercise their revolutionary right to overthrow it.”
Robyyn, in Womennotdabbling, sums it all up for me; the We’re History post. I cannot say it any better and have realized that I have been asleep too long. National politics seems so very daunting that I will need to begin at home and allow my stone’s throw to ripple through the rest of the community and eventually touch every shore.

My daughters and I moved to Bath County in 2003. We purchased a home on Sam Snead Highway that the community always referred to as the W
ard House. At the time of the move, we did not have 911 addresses and most utilities had trouble with Rte 1 Box 72A when trying to set up service. All I had to say was “Madeline Ward’s home” and they knew exactly where I was. Guess that is a benefit of living in a small community.
