More cooties

I just picked k13 up from school – she has a temperature of 101.4. When I arrived at the office to take her home, there were three other kids in the office waiting for parents, temperatures ranging from 99 – 102. The office says that they are not going to close school since some parents do not have day care for their young kids. Ummm, does this sound skewed?

Just yesterday one of the track and field members was confirmed to have swine flu. Just prior to his dx the team was at a match and four other kids drank from his water bottle. *shakes head* I think this may be just as bad as having an out break of head lice!

Here is to hoping that the rest of us stay well and do not catch this cootie.

  1. My daughter was one of 400+ students gone from her highschool yesterday. Over a quarter of the school is out. They think the homecoming dance on Saturday night was a hotbed of germ spreading. of course you get 700 kids jammed into one gym it only takes one sick person. YeeHaw! I hope you and yours are soon feeling better.Judy
